Working graveyard, I have to balance out my food intake; its like eating around the clock if I don't sleep correctly.
I'm reading "Dr. A's Habits of Health". There's a lot I need to do, but very doable! Right now, I just work, take care of chickens and husband, and then sleep the rest of the time (or at least try to). It's going okay, but I sleep about four good hours and the rest is touch and go. Here are a few things I need to do in the next week:
1. Got to keep an Eating Journal!! LOL. I write so many different journal, I can't keep up.
2. I meet with he "diet coach" Monday (08-12-13), so I must start doing that! :-)
3. Need to clean out my cupboards and refrigerator and refill them with a health list of fantastic items for my diet! :-)
4. Un-clutter my bedroom(s)!
5. create a quiet time for meditation and prayer!
6. walk to Starbucks and back
MUCH MORE, but maybe I should plan slowly!

BRACES FOR HANDS - HELPS WITH CARPAL
My doctor gave me braces to wear when I'm sleeping, and they really help! I've been told that carpal tunnel only gets worse and the only cure is surgery. I pray that is NOT true!!!

Swollen Hand Pain - who knows?
I decided to make an appointment with the doctor & saw her yesterday - got home from work at 0700 hours, cleaned chicken's area/fed/watered, etc. Got to bed for a couple hours then to Doctor's office by noon.
I told the doctor that my hands have really been hurting in their entirety; painful to move and swelling. I also requested labs. She gave me two night braces to wear to bed. The blood test will need to be fasting.
Its really terrible to have so much pain at such a young age. I use to think 50 was super old. Now, I think it's pretty young. LOL
I known why my left hand hurts, due to the arthritis they SAY I have. But now she's trying to tell me the pain and swelling are more than likely from the carpal tunnel becoming worse. Who knows?!
I hate being a pawn in a guessing game. I can remember my parents mentioning the same, basically. I hear that when the "Obama care" hits, it will be MUCH worse in so many ways. Hopefully, I can be in shape SOON, and not need so much medical. Although, the doctor seems to think I really need to consider surgery.
I wish I could have understood more of what Mom & Dad were going through, but then I would have had to be in this pain, and that's just isn't a reasonable answer for anyone.
Mom, Dad, for what it's worth, I really do understand! I miss you both.

Fear Not! :)
I expect the food items ordered for this new diet will arrive by the end of the week, but have not yet been dieting. I decided to list some health issues so that I will remember if they discontinue to be a problem for me or not:
Swollen hands - I've been dealing with tightness in my hands for the past month, now, and in the morning I can hardly close my fist in my right hand. Very painful, and not in my joints - just the entire hand. I've checked my ankles, and they are not swollen, so I'm curious to why it is only my hands
I have my "usual" joint pains - left thumb area and right hip and right leg to my knee. These are severe
Once the above decrease I am going to attempt to lesson the amount of pain medication that I take. Hoping to eliminate it all !
Weight: my weight last week at the doctor's office was just under 200.
Height: my height has always been 5'5 & 1/2", and the coach told me I was 5'. I'm curious to WHY the drop in my height.
Well, signing off for now. I'll leave you with this:
* In the Bible, Peter and other disciples saw Jesus walking on the water. Peter cried out to Jesus asking if he could walk out on the water to meet him. Peter stepped out of the boat, walked on water, UNTIL he took his eyes off of Jesus; he saw how the wind was blowing around him and the waves were raging. Peter became afraid and began to sink. Jesus rescued him, of course.
To me, this story reminds me of the FOCUS in our lives. At this point in my life, I am taking a new direction in an area that many could throw doubt toward. Instead of focusing on the negative responses that may or may not be spoken, I choose to focus on my goal; my opportunity to "walk on water" is ahead of me. As I step out of the boat/comfort zone, I do not have to fear! God is for me, not against me.

*Matthew 14:25-32
New King James Version (NKJV)
25 Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.
27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”
28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”
29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous,[a] he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.
27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”
28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”
